What is Success?What is success? What does it mean to be successful? The meaning of success can be defined in countless ways depending on who you ask. While some equate success with money; the more you make, the more successful you’re considered to be. Others believe it’s when you achieve your goals or fulfill your potential. One online definition defines success as an event that accomplishes its intended purpose; a state of prosperity or fame. Does success have to do with the attainment of wealth, power, fame or influence? Michael Angier wrote this wonderful quote: Success is the result of steadily taking action on our most important goals. When we consistently focus our energies and our efforts upon what matters most, we can't help but be successful. Let me now ask, what’s important to you? What do you focus your energy and efforts on? What matters most to you?
Now, let’s read what God’s Word says about what is success. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 2:21How can someone achieve success? The true meaning of success is attained by knowing the Word of God. It’s the Word that will make you to prosper and be a success. Study God’s Word! The reason why so many people never attain success is because they are not living a Word driven life. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6a When you know the Word of God and you are living the Word of God, you have no choice but to live a life of unending success. As a follower of Jesus Christ you should always be making progress, always be fruitful and always be productive in every aspect your life. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 Every day you should be living a life of success because you are success conscious. Always have an attitude of success. Never let negative thought make their way into your life. Never think failure. Never think anything but things which are positive. Understand God made you a success and you have the victory because you are a child of the King. Stay in His Word and you can never fail. It’s because of His Word; others will begin to look at you in awe and wonder what made you so successful.
