Tithing for the joy of the Father's heart
Tithing for the joy of the Father’s heart is one of the greatest things a believer can do to show their love towards God.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. 2 Corinthians 8:9
When you tithe, you show tremendous gratefulness, love and faith.
When you tithe, God is elated you have chosen to obey His Word and He wants to bless you beyond measure.
I want to give, but I just don’t have it so I’d rather just stay at home.
Tithing shouldn’t be looked upon as a strained task. It should be an exciting time in which there is no pressure, but rather pure enjoyment because you are able to say thank you Lord for an income. It should be looked upon as a privilege because it shows God is with you and has provided you with a job.
Giving should always be done in love. Give God your best in love and God promises to give His best in return.
So when it’s offering time at church don’t become the one who is anxious or fearful. A faithful giver can never lack for anything.
Don’t use offering time to go to the restroom in hopes of missing the collection plate. Treat offering time as a joyful expression of your love for God.
When you tithe understand you are helping to spread the Word of God throughout the world. You are blessing others to hear about the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are caring about the things of God.
True, the Lord doesn’t need your money, he has all things and he can use anyone or anything to aid in this area. But, why not be the one who is faithful with your money and allow God to bless your life like never before.
I urge you today to understand tithing for the joy of it not only spreads the gospel, but also sets you up for blessings upon your life like you’ve never known.
