When someone first receives Christ into their life they are considered a babe in Christ who feeds and grows from milk. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. 1 Peter 2:2 But, be encouraged we don’t have to continue to take milk forever but, we can begin to feed off meat - the Word of God. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14 Christian growth should be on the forefront of every believer’s mind. Take the steps needed to grow in Christ by changing the way you think and your confessions. It is the Holy Spirit who strengthens and guides us every day. With the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside of you, you are no longer the same. You have now become a new creature in Christ. It is now time to focus on your Christian spiritual growth. Therefore if any many be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Once we’ve accepted Jesus as Lord over our lives, the next thing is that we should be filled with Holy Spirit. This new man daily feeds from the Word of God. Memorizing scriptures is one way to get the Word into your Spirit. So when a situation arises, speaking the word concerning it will change it instantaneously. Growth in the things of Christ gives you a new testimony; a testimony that will be mind blowing and incomprehensible to others.
