But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6
As born-again believers we should never buckle under the pressures of life, but rather rise about any situation despite what it may look like with our human eyes.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see. Hebrews 11:1
This scripture gives us a clear understanding of the definition of faith.
That means if you’ve ever hoped for something, you physically didn’t possess it.
But with faith, you didn’t have to see it to affirm something is yours. With faith you’re viewing things beyond your optical eye.
You are seeing the unseen and it’s very real to you.
When you have great faith, no one will ever be able to convince you otherwise of something in which you believe is yours.
You’re a child of God and you just know and there is never any doubting.
When speaking of faith, do you often get it confused with believing?
How do you distinguish the two? Well the answer is quite easy.
Let’s say for example, the doctors told you, that you would never walk again, but you disregard what they’ve said because you know the word of God and you believe that God will heal you.
Well, the believing that God will heal you is great, but when you allow your faith to begin to work you will start acting as someone who has been healed. You get up in faith and start walking.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24
Faith is an action word and in order to have the results you desire, there must be some action displayed.
In the above example, walking is the action word.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3
Understand God has given all of us a measure (portion) of faith, but it’s up to you to start building your muscles so you can grow from weak faith to strong faith.
Do you struggle with maintaining your faith?
There are different levels of faith and I want to hear what your level of faith is, how you've applied your faith to a certain situation and what your advice is to those who struggle with maintaining their faith during trials.
