The Prayer of Salvation

Do you desire to have a life with Christ? If so, then say the prayer of salvation.
What is this prayer one may ask? Well it’s your first real heartfelt conversation with God. It is the most important prayer you’ll ever pray.
It is a very important step in receiving Jesus into your life.
The prayer is quite simple, for God is not a complicated God.
The prayer is done in three simple steps. I called them the A,B,C’s of salvation.
- First you must acknowledge your sins and you’re ready to turn away from committing sin. Yes, you’ve fallen off the mark in the past, but from this day forth you will be different.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
- You must believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins so in the end we would be held accountable for them.
- Lastly, you must confess the Lord Jesus as head of your life.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
Pretty simple huh?
When you’re praying this prayer of salvation realize you’re telling God you believe in Him and of the things in which he has done on your behalf.
Understand that this is a prayer of faith.
When you’re asking God to take residence in your life, you are making a free-willed choice. God cannot make anyone choose him although he loves everyone.
So are you ready to become a part of the largest family on this planet Earth? Then just say this simple prayer.
"God, I recognize that I have not lived the life you have designed for me to live; a life according your word. I have been living for myself when I should have being living for you. Lord I can’t stress it enough how much I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge Your Son Jesus Christ and the giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I desire to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life right now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. I declare today is the day that I am born-again and walking in a new light; a new life. I praise and thank you for your gift of salvation. In Jesus' name. Amen."
