How To Hear Gods Voice?

Have you ever wondered how to hear Gods Voice? Well are you really willing to listen to what He has to say? Is your heart in fact prepared to hear from him?

If you want to know how to hear Gods voice, you must be prepared by knowing his voice.

It’s by knowing his voice that you will be able to have a deeper, intimate, and closer relationship with him. Although God can speak to us through the use of different ways, His voice never changes.

To know God is to know His voice.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

In 1 Kings 19:12 Elijah describes Gods voice as a still small voice. And often that is the case. God often speak to his children in an audible voice, but other times he can speak in the form of a thought, a dream, a vision, or through the use of a person or thing. He has never been one to scream or yell when conveying what he has to say.

Recognize, when He speaks, He is speaking to your spirit.

Do you remember the story in which God spoke to Moses? Exodus Chapter three tells us that an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush and called out to Moses and told him He would deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians.

Wow, God can even speak through bushes. Hallelujah!

Another example of when God spoke takes place in Acts chapter nine where God had a actual conversation with Saul while he was on his way to Damascus. Have you ever experience a sudden urge to pray for someone or to bless someone in need? Believe it or not that was God urging you to do so. Because God can not physically do things, he uses us who live for him to do certain things.

If one would like to stay in tune with what God wants to tell you, daily study His Word, commit to constant prayer, praise and worship after which allowing some quiet time in order to hear his voice.

Often times, many people don’t realize how important implementing a quiet time after prayer actually is.

Psalms 46:10 tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

During your time of stillness, focus on Christ. Maintain an open heart and mind. Be willing to hear and accept what He has in store for your life. God wants the best for you and he wants to give you direction and vision during this special time alone with Him.

When God speaks to you, write what he says down. If you’re given a vision, record it on paper. Start writing out your prayers in a prayer journal and watch how God begins to answer all of them.

Another important thing you must do when we hear his voice, you must be prompt to respond and do it just as he has asked you to. Don’t go about doing something else you deem more important. By doing this you can truly miss your blessing.

And when you pray, pray in faith and believe God has answered your prayer the moment you finished praying.

Let's talk about faith!

I pray these words have helped you learn how to hear Gods voice better and that your life will become more enriched by your obedience to what he has said to you.
