Lord, help me hold on to your promises!

Help me hold on to you Lord during the times when I don’t feel your presence.
I want prayer. But I'm on the last straw on God's promises. When you've endured all categories (not scenarios) of suffering except death, war, torture and a disaster, the list is short and after 3.5 years of it straight, you're like hey, time out God, isn't that enough already? I mean c'mon 3.5 years? Really? What's the deal man? Help me hold on.
So lost the girl, the job, evicted, car broke down, and what's more, I had all these dreams telling me the future from God it would happen and everything came to pass in detail. And I was hoping to hear something good...not bad...Where are the good prophecies? It's not like even the gift of prophecy. It's just all these dreams coming true.
So I get it. This is where you say He is speaking to me, trying to teach me and has a greater plan? Great, but I have no money and I'm living with mom, all forsaken by anyone who dared call them self a Christian and friend. Nice. Please help me hold on to your promises.
So please just pray. Pray God shut me up and show me I'm wrong and these promises aren't some dumb misinterpretation only given to the Philippians or something. And that He'd do it for me and actually cares to go more than half way in showing me it matters to him, because it sure don't look like it.
I believe what people do, not what they say. I've dotted my I's and crossed my T's and it can't be anything I haven't tried. I done all I've heard the whole Christian world teach and forget it. I give to the poor. I served them. I give in my poverty.
Don't put it on me. I have faith and I believe and get disappointed so much it makes me sick. So let's see Him do it this time huh? I've been trying to sell my stuff so I can survive while all your churches deny benevolence because we're all too greedy racking up credit card bills. I ain't got no debt but my car. I live humbly within my means. I encourage churches to give and consider how they treat others. I don't deserve this. I never smoked, drank, did drugs and I'm a virgin. What did I do so wrong that I'm getting the short end of Job's stick here? Where's my double? Up your bag of wishy washy promises and false hopes, that's where.

Ask yourself, have you ever said, Lord, help me hold on to your promises during the dry and harsh seasons of your life? I can be the first to be honest and say, I have many times when all I felt was hopelessness and helpless. But, despite what I was feeling or going through during that season, God was working behind the scenes for me, for my good. It was him I had to cling to when I was consumed with Lord, help me hold on when all I want to do is give up.
When trials come, and believe me they will (over and over) again. We must remember that despite whatever is going on around us, God is still God and He is good!
Although all hell is breaking loose around us, we must remind ourselves that regardless if we lose a loved one, lost a job, been evicted, divorced or our car has broken down, God’s goodness and his love for us won’t ever change. For nothing can separate us from his love.
Romans 8:35-39: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Often times in this life, we will go through tough times, but he promises to always be there with us. Yes, it is hard, we say help me hold on, and we don’t understand why we have to endure such tribulations, but we have to convince ourselves that God is greater than any problem we may face.
When we go through trials, we should step back and see what lesson can be learned from what we’re enduring. Since God is allowing us to go through this, instead of first complaining, ask what is it that you can learn from it?
1 Peter 4:12-13: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
As we begin to understand how different situations, as difficult as they may be are helping us to become stronger in the Lord, more patient, more full of faith, we will recognize that we are not alone when we’re going through. For Christ is always with us.
Psalms 23:4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
When you’re going through pain and suffering, stand on the word of God.
1 Peter 3:9-17
When you’re going through tribulation, learn how to rejoice and be glad.
Romans 5:2-4
And after you’ve suffered, you just can’t take any more, and you've said help me hold on numerous times, know God will make you strong.
1 Peter 5:10 (NIV) And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Believe me Steve and whomever else is experiencing this season in life. God sees and hears everything concerning his children. Know He cares so much for you and loves you so dearly that whatever it is you’re going through, he has already endured so he could relate. Be strong and know God’s got your back. Although it may be tough right now, and you're asking help me hold on, know everything is working together for your good!
