Finding your purpose in life

God's Word shows us how

Do you know your purpose? Is finding your purpose in life important to you? And once, you’ve discovered your purpose, are you totally walking in your purpose?

If you’ve answered no to any of these questions, you should then begin to ask yourself what can you do today to start living a life with purpose and knowing your purpose.

Often people ask, what is my purpose? Why am I here? Well, the answer is those questions are pretty simple to address. You are here on this Earth, handpicked by God to glorify him with your talents, gifts, time and money.

”For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30

By Knowing God Helps You Discover Your Purpose

Living a purposeful life means, finding your purpose in life, knowing and living the Word of God. True, everyone may not be called to be a preacher, but God wants whatever you do to bring him glory.

”Whatsoever they hand findeth to do, do it with thy might…”Ecclesiastes 9:10a

Know God’s Word for yourself!

It's by finding your purpose in life and know the gifts in which God has placed in you and using those gifts to do whatever it is you’re supposed to be doing well. Never allow fear, self, doubt, what others may think or procrastination steal your God-ordained purpose.

Never allow hopelessness stop you in the midst of discovering your purpose. God as a plan for you and this plan is outlined in his Word. Continue to pray daily and seek him often concerning your purpose.

”Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” Romans 12:12

Letting Go and Letting God!

When you’re living a purposeful life, you’ve given up self. You’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t make things happen for yourself and realized that because God loves us that he would never mislead or misguide us.

When you’re living your God-ordained purpose no longer are you having to live up to human standards. You become a happier person because external factors and opinions don’t get you off track. You are focused on your path and not anyone else’s.

”Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

Often times that sin is envy!

When you’re living a life of purpose you are focused on what God told YOU to do and not what he has instructed someone next to you to do. It’s when you’re focused that you’ll be blessed.

Through his power working in you, your purpose will be fulfilled. And once this happens, you will know because you will begin to feel whole, complete and at peace with whatever it is God has called you to do.
