If so, let’s start with the topic of The Whole Armor of God.

In Ephesians 6:10-17 the word of God introduces us to what the whole armor of God is and what it can do for us as believers.

10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 13:14a

Jesus wants to be your protection, your defense in the time of storms.

…”for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5b

Since the Lord will never leave or forsake us, He is always with us to shield and guide us through life. But we must be willing to allow Him to do so.

Putting on the whole armor of God means you and Jesus are one and it’s that oneness with Christ which enables the believer to grow closer to him. When you continuously study the Word of God you can’t help but to grow closer to him and him to you.

Study to shew theyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 1 Timothy 2:15

Here are some other supporting Scriptures concerning the different aspects of the Whole Armor Of God that will help guide you understand in your daily Bible readings.

• The Belt of Truth Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:9

• The Breastplate of Righteousness Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

• Feet of Peace For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us. Ephesians 2:14

• Shield of Faith That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:5

• Helmet of Salvation For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

• Sword of the Spirit – The Word of God So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
