Not one person has the answer to everything but every answer is in the Word of God. As a believer you don’t have to go through life feeling helpless, hopeless and confused. Prayer changes things! God’s Word has so much to tell us on how to overcome life’s obstacles, but it’s up to us to read, understand and confess His promises. For His promises are not hidden, they’re right there in His Word. Yes, trials and test do come as we travel “through” this world, for God never said we would be exempt from such things. But we need to realize we are more than CONQURERORS and start living the life in which we were designed to live as Christians. Realize that God is willing and desiring to help us, but often times we just don’t seek Him in the way we should. We first must seek Him daily, read His word, pray and then live how His word says we ought to live. We are not perfect, but God’s word perfects us. His word is there to give us wisdom and instruction so that we don’t have to endure many of the things we go through. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6 A lot of the “mess” in our lives comes from not knowing God’s word and trying to do things our own way. So I encourage you today to send in your Christian prayer request and also to pray concerning your situations and decisions before finalizing anything. What does God’s word say about the situation? So many blessing come when we involve God in our plans. Remember He can see the present, as well as, the future. We can’t. You may be wondering, how can you incorporate prayer into your daily life? Well that answer is quite simple. Make a commitment to have a special time with God everyday. Commit to whatever time is best for you and stick with it. Make sure that special time is free from any distractions. So turn off the phones, your computer and open your Bible. But how do I pray? That answer is simple too. Talk to God just like He’s a friend with whom you would sit and have coffee with. When you pray you don’t have to use big and extravagant words to try and impress Him. He doesn’t care about all of that. He cares about your heart and soul. Know that whatever you share with God won’t offend Him so be honest. He doesn’t wear His feeling on his sleeves nor does He hold grudges like some of us humans. He loves you and is happy that you’re sharing your thoughts, concerns and plans with Him. He enjoys spending time with you as well. As you begin spending time with God and reading His word understand that God is not interested in if you’ve read ten chapters in one night. He’s more interested in if you understood what you read and if you will take what you’ve read and start living the life you ought to be living. The great life that He has design for us to live. Write Scriptures down and commit them to memory, so when situations arise you will have God’s word to apply to it. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might no sin agains thee.
